The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is Accelerate Action.

Collectively, we can all Accelerate Action for gender equality.

You can help us make a difference to a survivor’s life by fundraising with your colleagues, friends or family this International Women’s Day on Saturday 8 March 2025. Whether that be at work, at home or in the community. You can do it your way!

There are countless ways you can fundraise for My Sister’s Place, whether you prefer something small and intimate with friends and family or want to organise a larger event within your community or office.

From hosting a cozy dinner party or bake sale to planning a fun run or charity auction, every effort helps make a meaningful impact. No matter the scale, your creativity and support will make a difference in the lives of those in need.

How to get started with your fundraising

The easiest way to fundraise for us is to set up a just giving page linked directly to our campaign. We have pre-populated a page with our information but feel free to amend to set up your page.

If you are planning on receiving cash donations you can get started straight away. Just get in touch on fundraising@mysistersplace.co.uk to speak to someone about how to make a cash donation.

One of the most impactful ways groups can mark International Women’s Day is by championing their own IWD campaign within their community. There is a toolkit and some resources that you can use to help with your plans and promotion.  We have a Sponsor Form. that you can use too. 

What else can we do

As individuals, we can all take steps in our daily lives to positively impact women’s advancement.

We can call out stereotypes, challenge discrimination, question bias, celebrate women’s success, and so much more.
