CYP Trauma Practitioner

Hours:             Part time 18.5 hours

Salary:             £14,185 (Actual Salary)

Contract:        3 year fixed term

We have an exciting opportunity for two CYP Trauma Practitioners to join My Sisters Place ME TIME – Children and Young Persons Therapy Service following a successful 3 Year grant application from Children in Need.

We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated trauma informed therapists to support provide effective therapeutic interventions to children and young people impacted by their experiences of domestic abuse.

The post-holder will work within the Counselling and Therapeutic Services Team providing individual trauma informed one to one therapy, education and support therapeutic group work within our ‘ME TIME’ CYP Service.

Applicants will work within MSP’s Trauma Informed TIME Model to facilitate effective delivery of therapeutic provision to children and young people between the ages of 4 to 18yrs.

Applicants will be fully qualified to provide counselling/psychotherapy to children and young people, be a registered member of a governing body and have access to your own vehicle for travel.

This position may require flexible working hours to meet the demands of the service and applicants must be available to work across multiple sites and support administration and organisational elements of delivery.

Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

Hours: FT 37 Hours

Salary: Scale 6 – Starting from £27,344 to £ 29,439 (depending on IDVA qualification)

Contract: 31 March 2026Location: 123 Borough Road, Middlesbrough, TS1 3AN

Hybrid working opportunities subject to completion of a satisfactory induction period.

My Sister’s Place require an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA). Based in central Middlesbrough, we provide specialist services to increase the safety of survivors of domestic abuse and their children.

This is a front-line post in a crisis intervention service, and you will need excellent personal communication skills to support people with a wide range of needs who access the service. We need a compassionate, empathic and highly organised person used to dealing with a range of sensitive issues and confidential information whilst working under pressure.
